1st Review ~ Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

12000020Rating: 5 stars!!!

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”- Dumbledore as written by J.K Rowling

I honestly don't know how else to explain this book other than with this quote. When I look at this quote I automatically link it to this book. That's how good this book is! I can't even explain it in any other way and I have been sitting here wondering how to structure this review.

The quote also kind of contradicts the whole book because even if one turns on the light, it still might not turn on. It's not as simple as flicking a switch to make everything okay. Does that make sense?

So honestly this review is literally just going to be a list of quotes from the book. None of them are spoilery ... they're just really beautiful sentences. I shivered inside when I came across these.

Now don't worry, when you read this book if you choose to do so, it won't deter from the experience of reading it because the sentences will be even more beautiful when they're put into their context.

“Another secret of the universe: Sometimes pain was like a storm that came out of nowhere. The clearest summer could end in a downpour. Could end in lightning and thunder.”

“Sometimes, all you have to do is tell people the truth. They won't believe you. After that, they'll leave you alone.”

“It felt like there was a whole world living inside her. I didn't know anything about that world.”

“Words were different when they lived inside you.”

“From what we cannot hold the stars are made.”

“I like the old words better. They’re like old friends.”

The best thing about this book was the beautiful imagery! It made everything soworthwhile.

Some songs to listen to whilst reading this
- Friend in Me (from Toy Story)
- Journey to the Past (from the Anastasia movie)
- I'll make a Man out of You (from the Mulan movie
